Meet the team – Stacey Townsend our Office Administrator

A great addition to our team already, meet Stacey Townsend, our Office Administrator!

Having recently joined the Logistics World team, Stacey Townsend, our Office Administrator is already a very valued member of staff. As a self employed artist, Stacey’s forte is very much in a creative field, and whilst she is still creating art in her spare time, she’s enjoying the completely different world of logistics too!

To help you to get to know Stacey just a little better, we asked her the following questions:

Q. Did you pass your driving test first time?

A. Don’t they say that the best drivers pass second time around? Sadly, I wasn’t one of them as it actually took me four attempts to pass!

Q. Have you always worked in transport?

A. No, I was and still am a self employed artist. Sadly, like so many artists who struggle to make enough money to live, I needed to find a job that paid me a wage, so that I could continue to do what I love in my spare time.

Q. What’s the worst traffic jam you’ve ever been stuck in?

A. We were on our way to a concert in Birmingham and the motorway came to a complete standstill. Luckily we were still in time to see the performance.

Q. What did you dream of becoming when you were a child?

A. I always dreamed of becoming a doctor, and although I was too little to really understand it at the time, I guess it’s because I like to help people. In fact, it’s just one of the reasons why I’m really enjoying working at Logistics World, as we always aim to help all customers and especially those who need something urgently transporting.

Q. What do you most like to listen to whilst driving? (radio, podcast, streaming music)

A. I’m a fan of Radio 2 as it’s easy listening music, perfect for driving along to!

Q. What form of public transport do you prefer and why? (air, boat, train, bus etc)

A. I’m not a huge fan of public transport and preferably prefer to go by car, especially if someone else is driving.

Q. Instagram or Facebook?

A. I’m a Facebook girl!

Q. If you could holiday anywhere, where would you like to travel to?

A. Somewhere remote where there’s lots to explore, it’s sunny and warm and there’s no internet!
