Due to the nature of logistics, this scenario is common, and so wherever possible, we always like to assist our fellow transport companies when demand rises.
2. Driver sickness/holidays/shortage
Whilst holiday cover can usually be factored in, no-one can predict when an employee is going to be unexpectedly ill. As such, at Logistics World we offer driver hire, so that planned loads and deliveries can still be carried out.
3. Vehicles off road/down
Maintaining a fleet of vehicles is a juggling game, so in much the same way as our competitors will help us out if one of our vehicles is down, we will loan our vehicles with our drivers, also offering driver hire where necessary.
4. Awkward/large loads
Due to our sizeable and comprehensive fleet, our specialist, oversized transport is often called upon, when a fellow transport company simply does not have the necessary means to transport a large load.
5. Specialist deliveries
With over 50% of our drivers qualified in the safe transport of ADR, Logistics World frequently provides support when dangerous goods are being transported, or where a load requires additional people or a specific location delivery.
