Logistics World is expanding!

Never a company that simply sits back and ‘rests on its laurels’, we’re once again expanding with a dedicated new depot based in West Yorkshire.

The world of transport never ‘stands still’ and that’s certainly true here at Logistics World!

It was only at the beginning of this year that we moved to a larger premises, and in recent months we have expanded our fleet to include additional Euro 6 HGVs, which comply with both Birmingham’s recent introduction of implementing an inner city clean air zone and London’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS).

Never a company that simply sits back and ‘rests on its laurels’, we’re once again expanding with a dedicated new depot based in West Yorkshire.

Having seen demand rise consistently and continually in the north of England and into Scotland, we found an ideal base in Wakefield.

It seemed only logical to invest in having an additional base that was conveniently sited between our West Midlands headquarters and the north, and whilst our new Yorkshire depot isn’t equidistant, it’s certainly closer to Scotland than our main Aldridge site!

- Tim Wilson, Managing Director of Logistics World

Headed up by Chris Beaumont, our Operations Supervisor who was originally based at our West Midlands HQ and ironically looking to relocate to Yorkshire, the new site is fully operational and going from strength to strength.

The location of the new site and its close proximity to the motorway network allows us to effectively commute between all three of our depots when required. This in turn means that we can offer a smooth and effective transport operation, whilst maximising loads and the returning vehicles, and ultimately run a more cost efficient and even speedier service to our clients!

If your business is based in the north of England and you’re looking to find an alternative transport provider who is dependable, reliable and really does go the extra mile, be sure to call our new Wakefield depot on 01924 562500!
