Giving a little back to the NHS…

We wanted to do our bit and give some recognition from Logistics World to the NHS…

There can be no-one who would dispute the amazing and selfless work that the NHS has undertaken over recent months…

It wasn’t that long ago that we came out on a Thursday evening, to clap together in a show of appreciation. Rainbows in support of the NHS appeared anywhere and everywhere, representing hope and better days to come.

Showing the NHS our appreciation

At Logistics World we also wanted to show our appreciation of the NHS, and as such decided that some gesture treats would be well received.

We chose to give away two chocolate hampers, but not just any chocolate hamper, but Yorkie ones!

Who can remember the 70’s advertising campaign for the Yorkie chocolate bar on TV? It was the choice chocolate bar of the long distance haulier. But, its significance went much deeper, as a Yorkie chocolate bar was traditionally given to anyone on the day they gained their LGV license!

Our Facebook giveaway competition

The giveaway itself was run on Facebook with the winner not only receiving a Yorkie chocolate hamper, they also got to nominate a hospital ward anywhere in the UK where they felt a chocolate hamper would be appreciated. Logistics World in turn would surprise the nominated hospital ward with their hamper.

It was our small way of giving a little back. We all know just how much the NHS has done over recent months, and how they will continue to care for us for the foreseeable future. It’s just one of the many ways we try to help businesses and individuals, both regionally and nationally.

- Tim Wilson, Managing Director at Logistics World

And the winner was…

Picked at random from all the entries, Gary Williams, from Seventeen43 Event Management was the winner and he nominated Ward 17, at Walsall Manor hospital to also receive a chocolate hamper.
