Investing in our greatest assets!

At Logistics World we are always looking to invest in our greatest assets – our staff!

At Logistics World we are always looking to invest in our greatest assets – our staff!

Like so many businesses, our staff are our number one priority, and we want to make sure that they are equipped with the best possible skills to do their jobs safely and efficiently.

Staff training is of paramount importance at Logistics World. First and foremost, it helps our employees to develop new skills and knowledge, which in turn helps them to do their jobs more effectively. Our staff feel valued and are happy, which in turn results in them being more productive and efficient. We know that the morale at Logistics World is always very positive and the extremely high retention rate of our staff reiterates this.

Staff training can help businesses to stay ahead of the competition. By ensuring that our employees are up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments, we can deliver the best possible service to our customers.

- Tim Wilson, MD at Logistics World

It seems hard to believe that it was only a year ago that an additional three of our drivers completed the ADR training course, and now, owing to demand, it has become necessary to put a further two drivers through this intensive four day course. Once trained, it will mean that over 75% of our drivers are qualified to transport dangerous and hazardous goods, a fact that we are extremely proud of.

The success of Logistics World isn’t solely down to our drivers of course, and involves a great deal of support and logistical planning by our office staff, along with the smooth running of our warehousing facilities too!

Top of our priorities for our warehousing teams is for more operatives to be trained as fork lift truck drivers, whilst other warehousing staff require a refresher course in manual handling and pallet truck usage.

In addition, more key personnel will be being trained on health and safety, and two of our staff are to complete their fire marshalling courses as well.

These expansion plans will be supported by a number of new appointments too, and along with recruiting for two further Kickstarter apprentices, we have a Sales Executive joining Logistics World this March.
