Logistics World has always been a company which champions apprenticeship schemes for young people in the workplace. In fact, back at the end of 2020, we had two young people join our team under the Kickstart scheme, which was an initiative launched by the Government to create job placements for young adults.
Recently, we have had an opportunity to recruit for a junior warehousing operative, and so rather than look to source an apprentice via a national scheme, we instead turned to a more local training provider.

Having approached Juniper Training about potential candidates, one young man’s application stood out, and not just because of his suitability. His surname was familiar, and he turned out to be the son of Logistics World partner, Jane Dyson of Sapentia, a company which creates and implements software systems into businesses. Cameron her son, had been looking for qualitive work under an apprenticeship scheme and had been matched to the opportunity at Logistics World.
We’re delighted with Cameron’s approach to hard work and he’s already showing great potential. This new appointment not only supports Juniper Training but is indirectly supporting another partner in this apprenticeship recruitment.
