Demonstrating to our clients and local authorities that we take our obligations seriously with regards to the safe management of waste materials, Logistics World now holds a waste carrier licence.
Amongst the many services that Logistics World offers, one of our specialist areas is that we can carry ADR (dangerous) goods. This ultimately means that we are certified to safely transport chemicals and other hazardous goods, and so it may not come as a surprise that we also hold a waste carrier licence.
The licence itself is a document that authorises an individual or company to carry, transport, and dispose of controlled waste. Waste carriers like Logistics World must have this licence in order to comply with the UK’s stringent rules and regulations for the transportation and disposal of hazardous materials. In order to obtain a waste carrier license, applicants must meet strict criteria regarding their operations, facilities, and safety practices.
The waste carrier licence has a two tier structure, and any person or organisation will require an upper tier licence if they arrange to transport, recover or dispose of another businesses’ waste.
For obvious reasons, Logistics World holds a comprehensive, upper-tier waste carrier licence. The license demonstrates to our clients and local authorities that we take our obligations seriously with regards to the safe management of waste materials, and ensures we stay compliant with current regulations and legislations.
